An interesting woodworking knife similar in form to an enlarged long Nordic carving knife. The Primitive Mountain Knife features broad but fairly thin scales for a low profile and excellent indexing in the hand, as well as allowing for strong torque when breaking from a cut or drilling with the point. A taper at the butt end of the handle allows the pinky to power-lock in place for excellent grip strength. Comes with a deep-carry leather sheath with double belt loops for canted carry on the hip.
If selecting the Special Grade option we will thin and refine the factory edge. Please note that this is NOT a conversion of the near-scandi grind to a to a full-zero scandi but rather an improvement to the thin near-scandi grind configuration. If planning a full zero scandi conversion this will speed up the conversion process, however.
